At Yorkshire Counselling Psychology, we are committed to offering comprehensive care for individuals seeking support through our Adult ADHD assessments. As part of our holistic approach, we will soon be providing prescribing services for clients who receive their ADHD assessment through us. Our team of experienced professionals ensures that your treatment is carefully tailored to meet your individual needs, focusing on your long-term well-being.

Prescribing will initially available exclusively for clients who have undergone an ADHD assessment at Yorkshire Counselling Psychology. However, we are working towards expanding our services to offer transfer of care in the near future, allowing more flexibility for clients who have been assessed elsewhere. Please get in touch if you would like to receive updates on these developments as we continue to enhance our services for those managing ADHD.

We strongly advise you speak to your GP about how likely they would be to accept a shared care agreement before paying privately for an assessment, especially if you think you might want to access medication to manage your ADHD symptoms. If your GP is happy to take on a shared care agreement once you have completed titration privately, your medication would then be prescribed by them at the standard NHS prescription cost (currently £9.65). Not all GPs will agree to this and if they don't it would mean you would need to pay to see the private prescriber more regularly and continue to pay the full private prescription cost of your medication (around £100 - £150 per prescription).
